“About the Project”

 The main aim of the project is to promote learning beyond the classroom and to encourage students’ active participation in the learning process. Through outdoor activities, experiential learning and cooperation with schools and organizations from other European countries, teachers and students discover new ways of learning and develop important skills for the future.

The main objectives of the project are:

  • promoting outdoor learning

  • developing creativity and critical thinking

  • strengthening collaboration and communication

  • raising environmental awareness

  • discovering different cultures

The project aims to create a school environment where learning is connected with nature, joy and cooperation.

    This project beautifully highlights the importance of learning beyond the classroom and creating meaningful educational experiences for students. Outdoor learning and experiential activities help students become more engaged, curious and motivated in the learning process.
    The objectives of the project — promoting outdoor education, creativity, collaboration, environmental awareness and intercultural understanding — are very relevant for today’s schools and for preparing students with the skills they need for the future.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Our Erasmus+ Experience in Heraklion, Greece

Erasmus+ KA210-SCH Project: “Learn Outside, Smile and Shine” Project No.: 2025-1-RO01-KA210-SCH-000354299 Heraklion, Crete, Greece | 27–30 April 2026 From 27 to 30 April 2026, teachers from Greece, Romania, Lithuania, Italy, and North Macedonia came together in Heraklion, Crete, for the second Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Learn Outside, Smile and Shine.” Hosted by the 45th Primary School of Heraklion , the mobility offered four inspiring days dedicated to outdoor and experiential learning, critical thinking, creativity, wellbeing, cultural discovery, and European cooperation. Learning Outside in North Macedonia – Our First Transnational Project Meeting in Kičevo

Erasmus+ KA210-SCH – “Learn Outside, Smile and Shine” Project No. 2025-1-RO01-KA210-SCH-000354299 In November 2025, the partners of the Erasmus+ project “Learn Outside, Smile and Shine” came together in Kičevo, North Macedonia , for the first Transnational Project Meeting hosted by OOU “Kuzman Josifoski-Pitu” Kičevo . Partner teams from Romania, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, and North Macedonia participated in several days of educational, outdoor, and cultural activities designed to promote experiential learning, intercultural dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of good practices.
